I came to Shadow Pack with two years of training in SWAT CQB and submission tactics and over two years of Army Special Forces training as well as extensive experience in leading multiple squads of operatives of dozens of large-scale and hundreds of small-scale operations... all from my computer screen. That's right, years of my life was spent leading Elite Tactical Force, an online gaming group playing Sierra's SWAT3 and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon (the original one). Our group consisted of three individual squads with their own squad leaders and tactical specialties. We hosted many objective-based tournaments and participated in many global competitions. It was a great period in my life where lots of tactical experience was gained.
Professionally, I design and host websites (including this one). When one of my old SWAT3 team members said he wanted to open up an online airsoft store, I was happy to help him get his business started. Eventually, he asked if I would consider trading my services for airsoft hardware, which I reluctantly agreed to. After a month or so, I had an arsenal of rifles, ammo and gear. I eventually had to put the project on hold, since I had yet to find out what airsoft was all about or even if I would want to pursue the sport. So, after weeks of research on the various airsoft activity in the Denver Metro area, I decided to head out to my first game.
I arrived on site in Pike National Forest, a full hour of driving from my house, and introduced myself to the first carload of guys that showed up. They greeted me with smiles and a friendly handshake by every member of the team. They gave me a brief set of instructions on how and where to set up and I was invited to join their squad for the day's game. I quickly learned that this team operated with the same standards of tactics, communication and sportsmanship that was the basis of why I founded Elite Tactical Force. After a few weeks of playing, I was hooked and spent much of my time playing along side of Shadow Pack. I knew then that, when I was ready to join a team, I hoped Shadow Pack would take me. I was surprised and elated when, just a week later, they asked if I would be interested in trying out for their team.
It has been a privilege and an honor to be a thriving member of Shadow Pack where I have been able to fit in so easily given my past experience and principles. I have been fortunate to rise quickly through the ranks to where I can be an influential and formative member of this team of great guys and look forward to many years of fun, success and tactical excellence.
